We have been to the Meritage Martini Oyster Bar in Sonoma at least a dozen times, and we keep coming back. Why? While we love our wine here in Sonoma County, I happen to love a good martini and Mr. WCC lives to eat oysters, especially the Hog Island variety. (See our previous post about Hog Island Oysters at the Oxbow Market in Napa). So Friday night, we found ourselves returning yet again to the Martini Oyster Bar for none other than: martinis and oysters.
If you miss the Happy Hour special from 5 to 6 pm (1/2 off raw oysters) you’ll see that the prices at the Martini Oyster Bar and Grill are a bit steep - $2 to $2.75 per oyster on the half shell, but they do have the freshest seafood.

We also love how they bring to your table their homemade herb bread served with kalamata black olive and garlic tapenade. De-lish.
We really like the ambiance at the Martini Oyster Bar, like the butternut colored walls and the moroccan color scheme. We especially love the custom made ocean themed lighting fixtures by local artisans Frank and Julie Cavez of Bacchus Glass.
Some of their other appetizer specialties include BBQ and Pan Fried Oysters, Mussels, Clams, and Oysters Rockefeller. They offer a variety of seafood stews and bouillabaisse. Their seafood platters include lobster, cracked dungeness crab, jumbo shrimp, and ceviche. For a view of their raw bar menu, look here. Of course, they also serve a full dinner menu as well.
Bad for this guy, but good for you !
The Meritage Martini Oyster Bar & Grille is always packed on Friday and Saturday nights. Get there before 7 pm to enjoy some sauvignon and seafood at the bar.
Located at 165 West Napa Street, just off the southwest corner of the Sonoma Plaza, the Martini Oyster Bar is sure to please any seafood lover. For reservations, call 707.938.9430, or make your reservation online with opentable.com. When can we meet you there ?
