Lunch Hour: the Best Sushi in Sonoma County at The Boathouse

The best sushi in the county can be found at The Boathouse in Rohnert Park. 

We frequent this restaurant quite often with friends, for their amazing flavor and great cocktails.  This restaurant is spacious and fun with a great bar and outdoor garden patio. 

Today, we enjoyed one of their best appetizers, called ‘Chips and Salsa’ which is tempura carrots topped with slices of avocado and fresh tuna, then drizzled with a spicy creamy aioli.  These are the tastiest little morsels!

Fun lunch, my companion and I shared three of our favorite rolls: 

Crazy Monkey Roll:  Coconut shrimp and grilled pineapple topped with spicy crab salad, avocado and creamy sauce.

Wet n’ Wild:  Spicy tuna roll with cucumber, covered with sashimi tuna slices and avocado on top, tuna inside and out, topped with spicy garlic ponzu, scallions and masago caviar. 

California Crunch:  Spicy crab salad with cucumber and avocado, covered in crispy tempura crumbles and drizzled with the chef’s special unagi sauce. 

The Boathouse Japanese Pan Asian Bistro is located at 6278 Redwood Drive in Rohnert Park.  They offer a takeout menu, and also party trays for your guests. For directions to the Rohnert Park location, go here.
